LTTO Drone IRT-X2 Jiggle Mod

A problem has been reported, lock up of the CPU, that is caused by the batteries disengaging on the 4.5V supply to the CPU. Brian (TagFerret) has posted a more detailed explanation of the problem and a  fix for the Deluxe on his website http://home.comcast.net/~ferret1963/LTTOBatteryTrayMod.HTML . The modification posted here was made for the Drone and tested successfully at one of our TagPartyTM events. The mode was made to 24 Drones of which 14 saw aggressive use at the TagParty without any lock ups, compared to a couple per event before.

The Drone mod is really two separate modifications: 1) Battery seating and 2) Battery tray seating.

Since we change the batteries on all 24 plus units frequently, we required a more permanent solution. To achieve this we used self adhesive pads / bumpers, felt for the batteries and vinyl for the tray (Got them from Home Depot - Surface Guard 3/4" pads). The pictures are self explanitory.
